President Donald Trump has become the first president to hang his mugshot inside the White House.
On Thursday (February 13), Trump met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the White House, where photographers captured the president's framed mugshot hanging on the wall just outside of the Oval Office, per TMZ.
The framed mugshot, found on a copy of the New York Post's front-page story about the infamous photo, is clearly visible to all those who come to meet with Trump. Trump's mugshot stands in stark contrast to the stately portrait of Thomas Jefferson hanging on the wall behind the president inside the Oval Office.

The president's move to hang his mugshot, taken at the Fulton County Jail following his indictment in Georgia, comes as no surprise as he has wielded the image as a symbol of persecution and strength. Trump is the first former and active president to be convicted as a felon.
During his campaign, Trump sold mugshot-emblazoned merchandise to fund his presidential run. Trump also broke longstanding norms with his official presidential portrait, posing for the photo with an expression matching his mugshot rather than a traditional smile.
